Got our coldest air of the season coming in tonight and I felt like a creamy soup...
Carrots and onions in butter... Lodge "inside...legless" Very Happy Dutch oven

Potatoes added, one center ham slice cubed...

Covered with water, salt ...pepper...basil...chicken base...garlic...worchestershire...simmer til spuds start breaking down

Used a whisk to break up the taters a little more, added 2 cups heavy cream, served with buttered rolls and cheddar on top !!

Pretty good soup, really hit the spot tonight. Thanks for looking.

Looks great.

What is "the coldest air of the season" in central Florida? Very Happy

I have two tri-tips in the freezer that I'm debating whether I want to smoke them later this week when my wife of going to visit her parents for the weekend. The high/low next Thursday - Sunday is forecast at 31/23, 37/28, 39/25, and 36/20 with snow showers a couple of days.
