This was an incredible first time contest. With the Organizer very ill and in the hospital, our concerns were justified. Incredibly Murry Wade's entire extended family showed up and put a great successful conteest. With Thousands of visitor, 34 teams put on a exposition of competitive bbq competition. Congratulations to Blaster BBQ, their 4th contest. Thank you to Russ Garret and Mike Laws for their great efforts to make this happen.

Congrats Russ on People's Choice and congrats to everyone on the great calls.

I was going to come down and visit, but got busy with yardwork on Saturday. Glad you all had great weather this weekend.

I heard the event was being set up over by Bass Pro -- how was the setup? I also heard they didn't have anything planned on Friday night like most of the comps do around here -- any reason why?
