I am building a Uds I have put 3 intake holes 1/2" n diameter but during my burnout it didn't seem to b enough. Do I need 3/4 or 1"?

I drilled three 1 inch holes in mine. 7/8th pipe fitting screw right in. I used those thin conduit bolts to hold the pipe fitting on the barrel. Two inch bung hole in the lid for the exhaust.
