Yikes... Yeah I can certainly see what you mean.
That was HONESTLY not my intention.
I was thinking about the early days when it seemed like no matter what I did, something would inevitably go wrong. "Be here for dinner at 6:00" often turned into finally serving SOMETHING horrible at 8:30. My poor guests were always really polite about eating some really substandard stuff.
I honestly wasn't trying to kill anybody's excitement. Like I said in the early days things just never went the way I anticipated and my poor guests were always at the receiving end of whatever debacle I'd created earlier in the day. I was trying to convey what had happened to me, but unfortunately what I wrote had nothing to do with what I was thinking. I sincerely apologize for ruining any enthusiasm. |
Cool. And i believe everybody can relate in 1 way or the other. Thats what the plenty of beer on hand is for. If you cant eat dinner at least drink it, and order a pizza.
I think with all of the knowledge and experience that this board offers it would be hard for one to really FUBAR a meal.
Of course YMMV and IDKS. |

No apologies are necessary, I was just funnin' ya I do agree with you somewhat. I try not to use my guests as guinea(sp?) pigs, unless they have a great sense of humor, or a cast iron stomach It also sounds as if this is not JLhousebbq's first rodeo. I'm sure he has the pizza parlor on speed-dial _________________ ~Joe

Maybe I didn't say this, I have cooked it all before, it has just been about 3 months, with my illness and then surgery, I haven't been able to cook.
by the way, I discovered this cite about the time I had to back off of all the BBQ. Man it has been hard.
I am confident enough to cook it. I was just asking, if you were off BBQ for 3 months and needed to feed your neighbors and yourself, what top 2 or 3 items would you have chosen. |

| by the way, the chicken from Hell looks good. But hell, three months off any real food looks good. I am sure I am like a Navy man who has been out to see for three months and just got shore leave, EVERYTIHNG looks and sounds good. |
