Sauced... you're probably right. No harm! But I'll betcha that K is about the only available charcoal in Alpine, TX. This town is a 1-hr drive to the nearest Wal-Mart and a 2-hr drive to 'The Mall' . Of course for a lot of us that wouldn't be a bad thing! The crazy thing is... in West Texas those driving times are considered short. Just kinda fun info, I realize nobody really cares!
Chef, I'm actually going to the area next weekend. Too bad its an open date. Might try to go to the TLU game in Seguin... its a good excuse for me to go thru Luling and eat at City Market.
I get to the 'Pine once or twice a year. I'm sure we'll probably go to the Reata, have a beer at Railroad Blues, and go by the Saddlery. Then we'll probably head South County for a day or two. I'm sooo ready for this little long weekend get away.
Again, good on you for traveling and supporting the kids. I know it isn't easy. Go Lobos! |

Great banter, K or no K. Maybe Teleking got lightheaded at the thought of a 350 mile drive. _________________ D. Tillery

Chef, awesome job my man. Pit looks fantastic as well as your cook, I would be all over those steaks and moinks. Nicely done my man.
Nothing wrong with Kingsford, I use it all the time I don't use it for the Minion method. But grilling or feeding my firebox it works great. Again nicely done my man _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Hats off to you Chef. What a great way to spend a weekend. Good food, time with your son and small college football! I think I feel a road trip coming on. _________________ OK Joe Offset
