The pulled pork was definitely the highlite of the cook. It turned out great, but yes the abt's did turn out a little dark. Probably used a bit too much bacon as the bacon underneath was about right but the outer layer got a little dark. It also doesn't help that I haven't got any tuning plates in the smoker yet so the abt's were on the sfb end and I tried to rotate them around but obviously didn't get them moved quik enough. Still tasted pretty good though, and yes they are kind of a pain to make but a labor worth the effort. If not for tips on thesmokering.com probably wouldn't have had such good results. Looks like a good first smoke to me. Pulled pork and ABT's are great.
