I had a really strong craving for Hot Wings. Had to drive to a couple of supermarkets until I could find any. Hot sunny day, sweating around the pit, lets make a proper report out of it.
Dusted the wings generously with my own rub.
Fired up the Outlaw. I want to smoke the wings for two hours in cherry wood smoke.
Need to cut some cherry tree first! Got to use my new saw!!
We have smoke! I love cherry tree smoke in the morning!!
Time for a beer! According to the house rules, it's not allowed to grill or BBQ without a beer in the garden.
That's the only house rule I made.
Nearly two hours in the pit, I think these are ready for some crisping.
Fire up the weed burner.
Charcoal lights in about two minutes.
10 minutes later we are grilling - crisping the skin of the chicken. Mopped them with Stubb's Wicked Wing Sauce.
Nice and crisp.
Poured a cup full of melted butter on them.
As the heading says, Hot Wings, I'll coat mine in Stubb's Inferno hot wing sauce!
Finger licking goood!!
Cheers,
Sterno |

Me too. Here in Germany, I believe Stubb's is the only proper sauce selection readily available. It is all fantastic. I use their BBQ sauce, bastes and wing sauces regularly and the rubs ain't bad either.

Nicer looking wings! And I like how you crisped em up over lump. They had to be full of flavor. I have the same smoker and nearly the same saw. Hell, my back yard even looks a lot like yours. _________________ Big Indian BBQ
