| Hey guys know its been awhile since I've posted been few moves and different states but finally in a place to stay. Anyway the wife and i have been talking and decided to build a permanent outdoor cooking setup. Basically what my master plan is will be a brick structure that has a large charcoal cooking grill, a brick oven/s and a smoker i know allot of you guys build your own rigs and i haven't seen much done as far as brick goes so i'm looking for a bit of advice. her cousin is a brick mason builds chimneys and other concrete work so I'm going to design what i want and hes gonna build it. any advice would be great. the only "have to" i have it that i want the wood to load on the same side as the food because this is also going to act as a wall for out "summer kitchen" and i don't want to have to go outside and behind it to load wood and check the fire. maybe a "pit" is more what im thinking cause is there any way to build something that i could smoke good in for Sunday ribs but would also work for a whole pig. thanks again |
