Indiana can keep the fried brain sandwich and the rocky mountain oysters in Montana...well, I just can't do it. Funny that the fattiest item here in TN was from Ruby Tuesday's! They haven't heard about the bun n'cream at Johnny's in Clarksville.

Me too!! Some great looking food there, much of wish I've seen on M V F. But the fattiest food from TX is a corn dog with a little smiley face not a 'moist' portion of brisket? And what the corn curl is liver mush? Crying or Very sad

#1 in something.
The state with the highest obesity rate in the country, at 32.5%, has held this not-so-enviable title for five years in a row. Decadent dining choices, like the Mud Pie, rumored to have originated in the Magnolia State, are certainly part of the problem.

What a crock, I know a little place in Azle TX that has the best country fried steak and fried green tomatoes that I will put up against any corn dog for fat content.

I think they let Massachusetts off the hook - we're at or near the top in per-capita ice cream consumption in the country - and we have some really good dairy ice cream here that has to be like 90% fat Shocked

Otoh, I love Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies! Yikes! I could eat a dozen of these right now! Very Happy

Cheers!

I call BS Shocked D'Angelo's might have the fattest but is a chain from NJ I think. Not the best representative for Maine. Reds eats is the best in Maine Wink

The runner up for WI should've been the butter burger from Solly's.

Sollys is good but I'd put up my Joe Rouer's (near Green Bay) or Krolls any day. Gotta give Sollys the edge on the meat quality over Krolls but Krolls definitely wins in the butter category. Joe Rouer's is basically deep fried in beef fat, no butter needed although you sure can get it. I live a block from Krolls in GB right by Lambeau and if the wind blows right I go delusional and wake up at the bar with a burger and an order of cheese curds in front of me. Damn wind.

Maine should be represented by a heaping serving of fried clams with tartar sauce, not a chain 'raunt from "away". Hell even Mickey D's serves "Lobster Rolls" in the summer. Bogus Rolling Eyes

They forgot the Monte Cristo (Crisco?) Sandwich. MMMMMMM

Ham, turkey, and cheese sammich on french toast, deep fried, served with raspberry preserves.

Shouldn't the Eskimo ice cream be used to deep fry other foods?

That site is run by a bunch of busy-body New England granola munchers. Talk about an agenda...can't believe they Evil or Very Mad put lamb on their list. Even their "facts" are questionable. Evil or Very Mad

Hey, granola crunchers live on the left coast. We New Englanders are the ones that take perfectly good seafood and add mayo and cream to make the list.

I think I will start with a bowl of clam chowdah (with cream not tomatoes), lobstah roll for a main coarse and a couple of warm Toll House cookies and scoop of Cherry Garcia.

Crap, now I am really hungry. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
