People who use the term EVOO.... I mean, Rachael Ray uses that on the Food Channel when they are telling us how to make perfectly great dinners from canned food. I mean, who makes real food out of a can? Purina? Friskies? Come on people, cook from scratch! The only thing that should come out of a can is cat food. You want to impress the hell out of me, BBQ me some pork!

And that folks is what really grinds my gears......

So let me get this stright.. you personally make everything from scratch for every meal??? Wish I had the time.

fresh pasta
bread
salsa
taco sauce
pasta sauce
cheese
grind your own flower
corn meal
pizza dough (not hard actually)
pickles
salad dressing
puff pastry
relish
ketchup
mustard (grow you own also?)
mayo (another not hard one)
baked beans
canned beans
meat and vegi stock
EVOO..press your own also
cooking oil
lard
suet
I can go on.....
apple juice
any juice
milk..did you buy the cow?

So you make baked beans from scratch fresh every time you want them, I call BS, I'll bet you cheat like the rest Wink

What about home canning of meat???? gota problem with that also? You can safely home process and can many meats and vegies for stock and stews. Is that cheating also Question . Grind your gears in the real world. I bet you have at least one of everyting listed above in the house Wink

I don't, but I'm also not watching a "cooking show" for someone to show me how to use a can opener.

Yupp, that's the smoke needed for all the camp fires required to cook scratch beans for 1,000 peeps.

If your gonna cook scratch beans, you better not use an oven! Wink Rolling Eyes Razz

Good point!

While the beans are growing and drying, send the kids down to the river to collect clay.

They can then make bean pots. Idea

Fun AND educational, as well as all-natural.

Why have them sitting in front of the TV all day? Save some jingle and cancel the cable or sattelite.

Plently to do when you do it all yourself. Wink

Hey, don't take it the wrong way folks- it's all in good fun........................ Razz

P.S. why get your cat food out of a can either?

Just don't seem right to me. Cool
