Thanks guys Smile

kam - I think I'm gonna lift the design of one of your firebox grates! More I think about the one I put together..well..it's less than impressive and will probably burn through, warp, etc...

Nice work Philly Single. Very clean! My only suggestion, and a mod or correction I have been meaning to make the smoker I built, is this. I wouldn't make he firebox door the full diameter of the pipe. I would make top quarter part of the firebox and have the door go about 3/4 of the way up. This will help stop you from losing as much heat when u open the firebox door. As the heat rises it will be more apt to flow up into your cook chamber.

Smoke Daddy - good idea, I'll take a look at it this weekend Smile

Just a few odds 'n ends to do, clean it up, get it painted and then put it on craigslist or something so I can start another! Oh and add a temp gauge too!

Added a lip to help prevent any grease from running into the firebox, thanks KAM. Still have to drill the actual hole and such for the drip hole.

Still have to clean up that heat deflector too...

....and I'm done! Ok...gotta get a thermometer in there Wink But it's done...pretty happy with it. Learned alot making this one and looking forward to the next project Very Happy

With that said, I'm gonna put it up for sale at a really good price, IMO...just to get it outta the garage and into the hands of someone wanting to do some BBQ Smile

Thanks all for the tips along the way...

Philly Single, your cooker turned out fantastic. Very Happy Very nice work.
It looks like you do not have any stops to keep your grate from flipping if it is pulled out beyond center. That would be a nice touch for the new owner. Smile
