Hey guys my name is Dave I found this site looking for a smoker. Seems like a great place! You guys make some good looking food. If all goes well with my craiglist purchase I am picking up a 7-1 smoker from a guy tomorrow night for $35.00. He tells me all he has used is the burner with a big skillet everything else is new. Any info on this is apprecited. I will try and join in with what I can! Thanks.... Cool

Welcome aboard Dave.
Glad to have another person from the Show-Me State.
Take plenty of pics of your cooker and cooks or "it didn't happen" Wink

Welcome to the ring Dave, looking forward to seeing some pics of your cooks. Smile Are you talking about the Brinkmann all in one cooker?

lokin4deer, if you decide to build a UDS you won't regret it, they are really worth their weight in gold IMO. I can cook the low and slow method or high heat for grilling. I installed two grates in mine, you want believe how much meat that thing wild hold. If I'm using both grates I use a water pan for a difusser, one grate no water pan. Plus real simple to build. Very Happy

Welcome!
If you're looking to stay inexpensive, I'm using a chargriller with side fire box and getting fine results. I'm sure you could make something nicer but I am not handy.

cheers,
Korbs
