I'll be heading to a party at a friends house. Everyone's bringing something. As for me, I'll be bringing a pot of my Kick A$$ Chili, and my first attempt at ABTs. Figure on about 20 of them, since I've never made them before and don't know how much prep time is involved.

Abts are a pain to prep,so if your gonna make 20,you may as well make 40,besides they are so addictive you wish you would have made more.

3 briskets, 4 butts, 6 racks of spareribs, 15lbs of pulled chicken, pit beans, cornbread, and a few other sides. Cooking for two parties.

When everything's delivered, I think I'll grill up some steaks for us!

4 butts and 2 huge chubs bologna for Sunday dinner.

In the meantime, son and his wife visiting, already got some started:

Just on, babybacks:

Was a nice spread: tater salad, corn on de' cob, tabouli, sliced garden 'maters, watermelon balls:

Money shot!

One slab had Head Country, other had Bone Suckin' Sauce, our first time to try it. It was very good, will use it again.

I'm out of work, so had to go cheap for the 25 or so folks I'll be having.

4 slabs of ribs
burger sliders (help the 4 slabs last longer, everyone will grab a slider I'm sure)
hot dogs

slaw
my kick ass baked beans
garlic bread

People are bringing everything else (corn pudding, fruit salad, appetizers, desserts, etc.)

well I feel like quite a novice here, I am only cooking for about 8 people so I don't have the multiples of everything but will be my first test with a brisket.

I am going with the rub from amazingribs.com (http://amazingribs.com/recipes/rubs_pastes_marinades_and_brines/big_bad_beef_rub.html)

anyone used this? It seems simple and to the point which is what I want for this time around.
