Mrs Whitey and I had to Use a condo up north and had a blast.
Weather was nice,Beer was cold.and the food We found was fresh.

We went on a search and found a fishing boat selling fresh live shrimp.

Then went down town Bellingham and found an Old school bakery and a farmers market there We got fresh crusty Rosemary/Sea salt sour dough and fresh Oyster mushroons.

Then got wind of a guy that makes fresh sausage..Score found Him also.
Spanish Sausage. Shocked What ever that is,It sounded good.

With farm fresh cheese.

Plated up and ready for chow.

Then time to chill out.

Oh almost forgot Mrs Capt Morgon.

And this winters dinner getting fat.

Had a great time. Thanks for looking.
Whitey

Wow looks great. What part did you head up to? Looking to take a few days mid Sept. in that general area looking for something to do. Was the Spanish sausage like a chorizo?

That was just north of bellingham..A spot called "Birch Bay".
They have a water park there.Golfing out the cazoo.Lots of sight seeing.
Would it be just You or the whole Family?
The reason I ask is it (Birch Bay) is more Chillin and relaxing.
For the Kids Bring the Bikes and roll on around town.
The Sausage was like chorizo..Just a little more zip..

Don't even have to go that far north: unless the locals have totally screwed it up, Hood's Canal has always supported a healthy shrimp fishery. It's been a couple of decades since I've been back there, but if you get up to Hoodsport, you should be able to buy fresh shrimp right off the boats...

Cheers!

Dr Obvious
That is exactly right.Simple.Butter and fresh garlic and a little white wine.
Splendid.

daddywoofdawg
Man We have a great shrimp season. The only problem with getting them is You have to drop Your pots 500-700 ft.down to get to them. Shocked
That makes for a long pull unless You have a shrimp pot puller.Which I dont.. Rolling Eyes
So I just buy them fresh off the boat.

cody
Shrimp cocktail for breakfast?
That would work for Me.. Laughing
I love seafood. Smile

day_trippr
Nobody has screwed it up Yet..
We do have shrimp all throughout the Puget Sound. The only reason We went that far North was because that was where the Condo was. Laughing

Thanks everyone.
Whitey..

It was very good.
The Chipotle Cheddar was dry and a little no much heat.Would have been better with Mild Cheddar instead of Sharp Cheddar.

Thanks Brother.
It was kindof strange..Not having a grill.Or a little Weber or even as much as a tried and true piece of Cast Iron.
But We made it work using some "Hunk of Crap" Teflon coated (Missing Most of the Teflon Shocked ) skillet and and Stainless pot. Shocked

I told her We will never do that again.(Not take Our cook boxes)
Our camp box alway's goes with Us except this time and it wont happen again.
It was a true eye opener. Laughing
