I make my own sauces but have found that I really like the repeatability of using Big Ron's rubs... Always the same product from batch to batch, great customer service and generally an all around great guy... I view it as one less variable that I have to worry about when I'm smoking something, particularly if I am serving it to a paying customer. People are strange animals if you serve them something they really like the notice very quicky if you change something. Be it wood type, rubs, cook time etc.
So if I can remove one variable it makes for a much more consistant product coming off the pit.
Just my humble opinion YMMV |
