Branding Iron
104 East Scott Avenue
Wichita Falls, TX 76301
Branding Iron has a neat atmosphere, I like the sliced pork shoulder and sausage
Prine's Barbecue
1209 13th Street
Wichita Falls, TX 76301
Prine's has the best BBQ in town in my opinion, but it is take out only. The have been here in WF for a long time. Family owned, the old man is the owner and gets up early every day to cook the BBQ.
Above Average BBQ I think is a trailer that moves from parking lot to parking lot. I haven't ever eaten their food.
I don't know anything about Highway Cafe or Richards. |

| I tried a place called Stanleys, the food had more smoke flavor and they charged about a $1.50 more then Branding Iron, I'll try Prines also. |

I would like to hear the reviews after you eat there.
You may want to try P2 resturant at 15th and Lamar. I believe it is the oldest bar in Wichita Falls. It is a drive up like Sonic where the waitress will serve you beer and burgers/bbq to your car. Pretty cool place.
Have a "red draw" beer. |

| Today I decided to eat at Prines. All's I can say is, Don't go by looks of the building, I wasn't sure I really wanted to go in. I hadn't seen anyone even park in the driveway and it's lunch. So I parked across the street and waited. The cook came out to check the smoker so I went over to chat with him. We talked for awhile about the pit and what wood they use, OAK. Man that stuffs smells good. My review is their brisket so far has been the best tasting one, it was juicy and the bark flavor was great. Price wise, for sandwhich only it cost me $4.50. Branding Iron is cheaper, but not much. I would eat there again. |

| I tried Richards BBQ, not bad but not as good as Prines and not as cheap as Branding Iron. I'm no longer in Texas, but I like the BBQ beef they cook down there. The block pits seem to work real good, most places used oak. |
