Delurking from Canton, Michigan.

I've been barbecuing since October of 2008, when I got the bug from here and the a.f.b. newsgroup.

I have the rectangular Brinkmann vertical smoker with modifications as learned here.

I started learning the craft to provide my Memmphis-bred bride with some Pulled Pork like she grew up with, and she has been very pleased with my efforts.

Pulled pork is still her favorite, although my kids are partial to Spareribs, and I just did a brisket last weekend.

Some pics:

A brisket I did a few months ago

A pastrami during the same cook

Some Turkey legs and sausage

A montage of the Pulled Pork process when i smoked one for a friend

Looking forward to be a bit mroe active here in the coming months.

Rockpyle -

Welcome to the forum from your neighbor "down the street" so to speak, in Ypsilanti. Have fun on the site.

Check out some local competitions - Auburn Hills is next weekend! Me and the crew from Red, White and Que will be there, and we'd be happy to have you come by to say hi.

And check out the site for us in the mitten state...www.glbbqa.com
