Hey guys, I would appreciate it if somebody with more knowledge than I (that's like everybody.... ) about UDS's to take a look at the one I just finished building this afternoon. Let me know what you think. Will it work?
Paint go bye bye!
Some dope forgot to scrap off the rubber gasket, oh well, too late now.
mmmm toasty
Not a good day to be paint....
Little work with the drill brush
Looks like the bottom needs a little more TLC
Bottom's got its first coat of grill paint
Lid done in matte black
Sprayed the outside with rustoleum grill paint
Gobbed the inside with rustoleum brush on grill paint
Little drying help
Drilled the holes, attached the parts, and tada!
Thanks for your advice! I can smell the pulled pork already! |

flashback max, you have done good job on your UDS. I see one problem and that is the paint on the inside. No paint !! should have just sprayed with pam or brush with peanut oil to season. Paint can be toxic. _________________ I'm not 50 yrs. old I'm 21 with 29 yrs. experience.

Yup - this was going along just fine until I saw the paint-on-the-inside pic. Bad juju - that's gotta go...

So even though it's grill paint, it's bad? Didn't know what. OK, well, looks like I have more work to do. Darn it... |

| Looking great...but (as already said)...lose the inside paint. NO way you want paint in there (high heat or not). |
