Yuck, but it was donated to us by French's. So I gotta use it.
Anybody out there have a quick fix for it to make it better?
So far I have tried:
#1
2 oz sauce (weight)
1/4 tsp. Premium Chili Powder (all spices are from Spice Barn)
1/4 tsp. White Pepper.
1 Tbsp Jack Daniels.
Not bad, but not enough heat for me. I know the old farts at the Post may like the earthy heat. But it does taste like too much vinegar.
#2
as above but added 1/4 tsp cayenne 40K to it.
That would get most everyone's attention.
I still have that excess vinegar taste. Any ideas how to calm it down? Or, you can share your "Top Secret Recipe" with me using this as a base? I won't tell, BTW, my name is Duke
The sauce will be served in a squeeze bottle at each table. We are cooking leg quarters and spare ribs.
Both meats with be rubbed with Slap Yo Daddy All Purpose Rub.
Thanks for lookin', I need a plan by the 18th. _________________ Gunny 3073/4044/8411

Brown sugar, maybe.
Try some molasses, also.
You could cook it down then add some soda like Dr. Pecker, Coke, or some Root Beer. |
