In a Lodge #12 I use Marie Callanders corn bread mix which is excellent jumbo bag at Sams...cooks very good rotating and all...after about 25 min or so the top slightly cracks and light brown pull from coals.
Ok here's where we have the problem ...the release... yea just like all great QB's the release makes the pass. We seem to hang in the center and break apart. Other than that it is fantastic with honey. Should I let it cool before the upsidedown release? Has plenty of oil...
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.. _________________ Classy Q Comp BBQ Team

Line the bottom of your D/O with parchment paper...The moisture in the Cornbread will keep it from burning and you will have a perfect release every time. |

I always preheat a skillet coated lightly with shortening and add the cornbread batter to a hot skillet. _________________ Pitt's & Spitt's U2436 |
