If you can find them (limited distribution), the GTO Painkiller line and the JFuego 777 are exceptional smokes. I've been paying full retail for them at the local B&M and you know how much I hate paying retail!

Never had a bad Tatuaje.

I can't say that I've ever been disappointed in anything Pepin Garcia is involved with.
Enjoyed this one the other night

Picked up this Ivy Cigar at my local shop...said they just got them in. It's a new brand from Jason Holly, the founder of Viva Republica. I enjoyed it while reading my new copy of Aaron Franklins recent book.

It was a decent smoke, but I didn't like it as well as anything I've had from the Viva line.

Hard to go wrong with an AJ Fernandez smoke too. Very Happy
This was a nice, full bodied smoke.

Nice post suckaass.Yea I'm a Don Pepin/Jaime Garcia fan too. Love Jaime's Reserva Especial sticks. Had a Viva Republic, Propaganda the other night for the first time and thought it was a very worthy stick. I'm looking to try more from these guys. And hard to go wrong with AJF. You got a nice selection there brother. Herf on!

The new Hoyo from General is fantastic. You owe it to yourself to try it. Also, from IPCPR new releases (I just sent out about 400 cigar samples from the show to reviewers last week), the new LGC Serie R in Maduro is one of the darkest, most luxurious maduros I've had in the last ten years. Worth the retail price. The new offerings from Sr. Blanco are also outstanding (disclosure: Jose Blanco is a friend, but he makes a helluva cigar--old school Cuban emigre). I still have about a hundred new vitolas to sample. Will report back on my favorites.

I've been a Cuban smoker almost exclusively for the last decade. Decided that I know what I like and stuck with them. THe latest offerings from Nicaragua and Honduras are coming on strong and are good enough that I would pick them over some Cubans. I hate that the latest FDA rules are going to put a lot of these new manufacturers out of business as the cigarette industry sweeps them up as collateral damage in trying to handicap vaping.

Toothpicks come in remarkably handy for that cigar so good you just don't want to let it go.

Dan I have read about the T-52...sounds like a tasty stick....We hardly get any Drew Estates stuff out this way.
My buddy is coming to visit from N.C. and I always try and get an J.R.Cigar order for him to pick up before he comes here.

Good looking smokes, Rick Very Happy
I love the barber pole look. Especially with the candela wrapper.

I hope they taste as good as they look.....I have smoked some Filthy Hooligans from the past couple of years...
I find the Candela wrapper can come of with a bit of a grassy taste.....but once you get into the second third it does get better.
This is the first time it has been offered in a Barber Pole....so the Candela wrapper flavor might not be so dominating.....unless thats what you like.

Well, I used to like a different kind of grass...but that's a story for another time... Wink Laughing

I had a Filthy Hooligan a couple years ago and it was a decent smoke...not something I'd have on a regular basis, but not bad. I'm sure those will be good, and I'm sure you'll let us know Very Happy

I see your in the shop enjoying your sticks....nice Josh....cant wait for it to warm up a bit more so I can start to enjoy some cigars and a cocktail in the lawn chair.
That Filthy Hooligan was okay....construction was a little loose in the first third but it did come around and ended up being not a bad smoke....
I think it was one of the better Filthy Hooligan release's,being a barber pole the Candela wrapper was not as strong as previous years, which I was fine with.

I hear that. We did have a bit of sun on Sunday, now it's raining again Evil or Very Mad We've had the coldest winter in 30+ years and the 2nd wettest on record and while our winters aren't as brutal as yours, it stills sucks
