Building my 2nd uds. I used the bung hole on the top as the exshaust on my last one.
Top on this one is solid.
What do suggest with 3, 1" inlets for this top?
Thanks _________________ Weber Kettle

Get a cheep Kettle from big lots I think they may be like $25 the lid fits perfect on a solid lid drum then get an angle grinder and cut out the lid. |

With the solid lid drum there isn't much of an option for lids. the bonus is you then have a grate that fits your drum and a charcoal grate to make your basket out of.

I just read your post again do you mean that the lid is removeable and there is no bung? if so you can get a hole saw for a 2 inch pipe nipple then just thread that in |

Removable top.
I was thinking of 6, 1/2" holes evenly spaced out.
I can always use magnets to control the openings if needed. _________________ Weber Kettle

I like 8 x 1/2 inch, that's what I used on my early drums, the later ones have the weber kettle lid conversion so that's 4 x 3/4" (I think)! _________________ Here's a change Robert.

8x 1/2 inch holes is how the original BDS is made. Stray if you like, but mine cooks like a champ. _________________ Kill a cow, Start a fire ...
