I love the dedication, but I have to say I am not that big of fan of Sweet Baby Ray's. I am more of a Stubbs guy, but this weekend I used some Rendezvous sauce on spare ribs that was a big hit with my guests. I was surprised. You never know what sauce will hit. Too each is own.
May the Q be with you..... _________________ 20" Yoder Wichita Offset Smoker |

Once you make your own sauce you will be giving away a lot of those bottles for free. |

| Holy cow! that's a lot of sauce! I'm not a big fan of SBR but I do keep some in my collection some because I know that others like it. My collection consists of all kinds of different sauces from everywhere, I like to keep a sampling. Even at it's largest, my collection was probably only half of what you have there. |

Nope!
When I use sauce on the grill, I start saucing right away, and let it caramelize. Keep flipping and cook'n, gets thick as tar.

It's the main reason I gave it up. Bullseye doesn't contain it and I can always doctor it up.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the stuff but I cut HFCS completely out of my family's diet (at least with the stuff I fix for them). |

I love it! Good old Shop n Spend.
I used to be a Maull's (local) person. I had to because I dated a girl related to the family. After that ended, I went to SBR or Stubbs or Super Smokers (local)...whatever was on sale. Then, one fatefull day, I made chicken thighs with Blues Hog Original and apple juice...wife would never let me use anying but BH again. Now I'm spending $4.50 per jar on sauce when I used to spend $1.50 to $2.00. _________________ Char-Griller Smokin Pro

Next time you empty that BH sauce bottle refill it with SBR's. If she complains tell her that your using the same stuff and they musta changed the recipe.
And dont ever let her know. |

Big Orson,
You'll be glad to know that Hunt's has re-introduced HFCS-free ketchup. If you make homemade sauces, you no longer need to look for inexpensive organic ketchup to avoid HFCS.
Heinz has recently announced the same. It's a shame these two food giants have had to go this route. Pepsi has announced that they're taking it out of Gatorade.
If the stuff is fine for you, why are these big companies taking it OUT of their products??? I'll be glad when Coke and the candy bar makers take it out. It's a shame you can't enjoy a simple candy bar once a month without HFCS. |

1 Bottle of the Sweet Baby Rays original mixed with equal amount of Cherry Dr. Pepper and tbsp then brought to a simmer and you have one hell of a Pulled pork, beef or chicken sauce. You won't taste the cherry Dr. prpper. It melds with the Rays and is very atsy but not over powering so you tast the meat. _________________ Rob

I use SBR Raspberry Chipotle when i vend local events here in town people love it. I always get people coming up and asking for the recipe. I tell them all ya got to do is go to walmart and buy a bottle for $2.48
Most people don't believe me. I think after its cooked on the meat it takes on a little more good smoke and burns off some of the nasty liquid smoke. |

I like the way you think Oregon
Wingman...next time I make thighs, I might just try that sauce. I'll have to start with a different store bought base as pyronoel purchased every SBR bottle in the St Louis metro area. _________________ Char-Griller Smokin Pro

Kurtsara Tbsp is the abreviation for Tablespoon. _________________ Rob
