Piggy's has been in O'fallon for a while, I've just never stopped in. They put a sign out a few weeks ago, "open for breakfast" The guy is there at 6am every day cooking for dinner, so why not open.
So I stop in this morning... WOW, I'm going back for dinner tonight, it was good!
$1.62 for a Pulled pork/egg/cheese sammie with his own chipotle sauce on it.
I have no affiliation with the place, it's just really good.

Took the family in for dinner tonight. 4 of us ate, I had a full rack, wife had a pork sammie, kids had hot dogs, corn on the cob, chips, and cookies, round of garlic bread and drinks, and it was $35 - no complaints.
Ribs, it's a simple rub, no sauce. -3 house sauces to add on the side, all 3 pretty good. Lots of smoke and falls off the bone, but has a nice firmness at the same time. They were really good.
Plan on going back to try the pork steaks for lunch tomorrow, you know, to give a full report, gotta be thorough The sacrifices I will put myself through for you guys.....

I don't understand why it's so hard to find a quality, all-around bbq joint in STL aside from Pappy's. Most places seem to excel in one item while the rest of the menu falters, sepecially brisket. I've yet to find a place in the area that has brisket that isn't dry and crumbly.
I think the other side of the state is one step head of us on brisket. _________________ Char-Griller Smokin Pro

I have seen that place for years, used to be a Blimpy's there. I guess I should give it a try.
There is also a new bbq place in Wing Haven by Outback called Virginia BBQ, im gonna have to go give it a shot too.
Generally in STL for commercial BBQ I head to Bandana's. |

I tried the porksteaks, nothing to write home about. I think his pulled pork is the best of the 3 I've tried.
.... I've heard good things about Pappy's, will have to try it. Add that to the list with Mel's. |
