| I helped a friend cook last saturday and he did some killer ribs. He mops them with a mop sauce that he will not disclose for money or friendship. It is a red looking sauce and I know that he uses a beef stock base. It was red in color and he has a few leaves floating in the pot that he was simmering it in. I tasted of the sauce and it was warm but not spicy hot. I could not taste any sugar in this mop sauce. Does anyone out there have a good mop sauce that has a beef stock base that they would like to share? |

| I should have added that it felt a little oily but not greasy. Even though it was red it was a clear kind of reddish sauce that I could actually see the leaves ( bay or basil?) in bottom of the pot. Hope this helps some. |
