I think I enjoy cooking more. I don't eat beef (It makes me very sick) but I love to cook it. I've just this past year eaten ribs for the first time and I love to make them too.

| Guess if I had to choose only one I would have to say that I get more enjoyment out of cooking than eating. I like being out at the cooker by myself just because it is relaxing, and I really enjoy when people ask how I can turn out such good food. But, by no means do I mean to imply that I dont enjoy the eating part too! |

Aw, man...That has to be one of the saddest things I've ever read on the 'Ring
Sorry to see something like that, loomis, but good for you for soldiering on for the other folks in your life and not abandoning the whole Q'ing thing.
Don't mean to pry, but have you ever had a proper diagnosis of the root cause of your 'burn? Sometimes it's caused by something they can actually fix (one of my specialists helped develop a treatment that uses an inert injectable substance to fix leaky esophageal valves)...

Thanks for the thoughts, Day. I haven't had anything properly diagnosed other than to tell you that smoked meat and red sauce are the two things that will set it off everytime. I have limited the things that I eat and have noticed a big difference in heartburn. But when it comes to smoked foods (and I won't even tell you about a smoked fattie.....WHOA), BBQ sends me into acid reflux space!! _________________ Jesse Gabbard

I do both, but if I don't have the time to cook, I either return to the freezer for meats I packed away earlier, or turn to my friends and go visit them for a bite of whatever they are cooking!
But I love to cook, and I have my own ideas as to what will or may work and what doesn't, I'm also a whole lot more critical as a customer of BBQ than I used to be before I cooked it myself.
Though I'll be the first to admit, that I'd be hard pressed to cook at a BBQ restaurant and turn out product that would be consistent day in day out and hour in hour out! I can cook to a timetable, but I'd be pretty lost in how to make something good enough to eat when it comes out of the pit, and still be good 6 or 7 hours later. _________________ Here's a change Robert.
