Just wondering how many people here would rather eat BBQ or would rather Cook BBQ?
I personally like to do the long smokes, tending the fire, outside in the middle of the night when its peacefull. Over the actuall eating of the BBQ. |

LOL....I thought I was the only one. I like the challenge of trying to get everything right EVERY TIME. I'm pretty critical of my Q. Too smokey, not smokey enough, dry, not tender enough etc. Haven't had the perfect smoke yet, well maybe once. |

I really enjoy the cooking process. Prepping the meat, getting the smoker ready, warm sunshine, sweet smelling smoke.....WOW! But a plate of ribs, pulled pork, abt's...cold beer, and the reaction from family and friends, that's hard to beat also. Put me down for both. _________________ Scooter

I fall into the "love the cooking" category. Although I probably eat more than my share. _________________ Brinkman Smoke N Pit Pro

I often eat very little on the day of a smoke... but stay clear the day after when I come looking for leftoevers!
Besides, not sure if it is just me or what, but anything smoked tastes much better to me the next day or 2. |

It's just you. There are never any leftovers after I BBQ, so how would I know?
But for the record, I enjoy the cooking and the eating equally well. _________________ Jimmie Ohio

If I am going through the effort to BBQ, I always make much more than I need so there will be leftovers! |

Ditto. Leftovers are great for lunch and midnight refrigerator raids. _________________ Brinkman Smoke N Pit Pro

If by "cooking" you mean sitting on the deck in an easy chair watching the blue smoke rise while enjoying an adult beverage with a fine cigar...then cooking. I like both!

I like to cook, but I like the eating part best. I cook so I can eat the food I like and have it taste the way I want. I live in a small burg of 12K so the dining choices are extremely limited without driving 100 miles. Cooking is a matter of maintaining my sanity. _________________ I was taught to respect my elders. It's just getting harder to find them.

I'd have to say cooking (or rather sitting around drinking beer), the eating part is just a bonus. _________________ 22.5 Weber Kettle

I love it all, preparation, cooking, visiting, and enjoying a fine dark beer with a sidecar of JD. But all that makes me hungry, so the eating is an added bonus. _________________ My memory isn't good enough to lie.
