Yeah, telling us there's a comp and giving us a site that's not even up isn't fair.
You might give specifics if you want to generate a buzz, especially since many teams have already built their schedule for the year. |

I heard it's going to be July 10 at the OU Sheusterman campus......
Some of the same individuals running it, but nothing to do with the Arts people. Trying to get them to come out to the Legion Cook-Off on the 27th to talk to us about it.

Hmmmm...well, I do like the location ! 1mile from home, but I thought the campus was off-limits...maybe just to the Arts folks ?.... looking forward to hearing more. This is one of the few ( ) I should be able to attend this year... any news on Art of BBQ location yet ?

Correct on all accounts. I co-chaired last year with Missy. We have been working on this for a very short time. The website domain was just purchased on the 9 th. That was really our confirmation that we were a go. July 9 and 10th, 2010. The art people are not part of it, and we will have volunteers, unlike at the art. I am excited about that, we won't have to drag cables, or ask for help from Jeff, Mike, Don and all that helped me last year. It is going to be a great event with a great benefactor. St. Francis Childrens Hospital is the benefactor and they have come up with the cash to put on the event in a first class fashion.

Sorry I was just a little excited , and I still have to do the website. We literally just found out it was a solid yes, when she asked me how to buy the domain name.
You be amazed how hard it is to ask someone for all that money to put on a comp and get a yes. |

You da man!!! You know the bad part of me done these events are that when i'm done working for the night some people are sleeping (or trying  ) plus I don't get to cook in it. |

Team registration is up . Still working on the rest.
I had a long meeting with St. Francis Today and they are excited and are putting together goody bag item orders already. You get the t shirt and much more. They are going first class with this comp. Give me some feedback of what you would like. The dates are already set, we will look at different dates next year. Please suggest a date for next year as well. I personally would love the spring as well . Let me know.
