Friends son cut down 2 good size Pecan trees at his grandmothers house . He cut it all into 4-5 foot lengths & trimmed off the limbs . These trees have been dead for 2 years . The good young man came to see me today & told me it was all mine . All I had to do was go get it . Looks like after its cut to size , it will be about a cord & a half or so . Thank God for friends .

Nice!!! I went turkey hunting down there not too far from Bangs in Coleman county a few years back, and I wanted to haul some of those pecan trees back home with me. Smile

We used to zigzag across Bangs between some leases in Brownwood and Santa Anna, also. My buddies and I had a blast hunting down there. We didn't get a chance to sample any local BBQ, though. Sad

Must be my lucky time of year . Another friend stopped by yesterday that had some Pecan trees die . He has them down & cut up & gave me the wood . Before he left he said he also had a few Apricot trees that died if I wanted that.

Sweet! If you have any friends down there with wild turkeys ruining their lands, I will offer them my eradication services (or at least attempts) next April. Wink
