Just got a call from 757-271-3395, stating they were with XYZ Yellow Pages calling to verify my information before sending out an invoice. I reply, I'm not sure what invoice you are talking about as I'm only interested in FREE listings. They hung up on me.

It's a Norfolk VA Scam company.

There are loads of reports, inc Yellowpages, a window company, etc.

Sometimes they ask for credit card details. DUH!

Don't give anyone anything over the phone unless you know them, trust them, and are already holding several members of their families, that they love and care about in your basement romper room! Rolling Eyes

The ones with the East Indian, and East African accents get real offended when you tell them that your gonna screw their dog. I use that one all the time on the Internet scams that say a prince in another country just died and left someone $450mm, but need your help by sending......You know the ones. Cool

I don't respond to ANY internet "spam" or anything I THINK is spam. If you do, then they have your email address and can SELL that then you get another million spam messages. Shocked Shocked

Remember kids. What Geronimo said is a very very very important lesson in internet safety. If you want to mess around with the foreign scammers, make sure you have an account set up that you don't care about. One of those free @yahoo.com ones, like the ones they use.
Also, be sure to always wear your junk filter while interacting with the scam artists. Laughing

I have just about 475 million dollars(maybe more as some of it is in pounds) I have won or will receive!(I wish)I'd be happy with the interest on that.

I used to get an invoice in the mail every 6 months wanting me to pay for the ad in the yellow pages.

I got two free ads in the yellow pages from my phone service, so I just trashed it. Got a few calls from them wanting me to pay the $400.00 or so. I told them I didn't pay for these & if they wanted to print it up, then try to collect, tough luck.

I had a signed contract from the phone company so my ducks were covered.
