Hey All, just wondering if the stove gasket material would be safe to use around doors, or at least I'd like to hear some opinions. The cooker in question is a 36" x 9 foot cook chamber with three doors that leak alot of smoke. Seems like this gasket material would work better than what we've tried but obviously fiberglass isn't food safe. Anyone used it to seal doors to the cookchamber?

a tadpole gasket is what most use. it has a side flap to screw it to the lid and so you don't need the glue. I'd be weary of the glue factor.

Yep the glue suck unless you have 10 pairs of vice grips and some angle iron and a really clean surface use the iron and vice grips to apply a lot of pressure on the gasket to the glue and it works great
