Kaowool is used extensively in the process industry to insulate vessels, pipe, etc. Great stuff. We usually have a lot of scraps left when we complete a project using it. I never had a use for it before. I'm gonna get every scrap I can from now on.

I've used it many times. Whether it be inside a heat treating furnace or to control the rate of temperature loss while or after welding under certain applications. If you are planning on using it in a smoker just be sure fibers can't leak out.....I've heard various things about the fibers. ???

Kaowool is great insulation. We use it in power plants to insulate HP steam leads. Wear a dust mask while handling.
