Kaowool is used extensively in the process industry to insulate vessels, pipe, etc. Great stuff. We usually have a lot of scraps left when we complete a project using it. I never had a use for it before. I'm gonna get every scrap I can from now on.

I've used it many times. Whether it be inside a heat treating furnace or to control the rate of temperature loss while or after welding under certain applications. If you are planning on using it in a smoker just be sure fibers can't leak out.....I've heard various things about the fibers. ??? _________________ FATTIE THROWDOWN CHAMP

Kaowool is great insulation. We use it in power plants to insulate HP steam leads. Wear a dust mask while handling.

| used it this past weekend to cook 10 butts and the insulation made all the difference in the world in saving wood-cooked on sat. night had 2" of rain and the temp on the smoker was no problem now the rain and 41 degree air temp was a different story--but anyway am very pleased with the kawool |
