The Weather is just right today to try and smoke some
ICE CREAM
Got the pit ready and the ice cream going
I say in about another hour it will be ready to foil
I will post pictures (maybe if I stupid enough) to walk back
out to the pit to see how the ice cream came out.
Stilwell Chuck
Stay warm my friends |

Wait, just think a minute.
Couldn't you smoke some almonds and use them in a vanilla base?

Talk about timing... A friend brought some ice cream to work today. He cold smoked it last night while it was below 10 degrees here. He used pistachio shells for the smoke. It was unique, but I'm not sure I could eat a full bowl of it. It definitely took on a lot of smoke flavor! _________________ Smoke 'em if ya got 'em!

Make sure you get that internal temperature up to at least 140!

Anything with dairy is going to take on a lot of smoke flavour very quickly. Be careful not to oversmoke it. Bitter sweet chocolate and almond smoked ice cream sounds amazing! _________________ http://www.drewcooks.com

| Smoked ice cream is a must try for those who haven't tasted it yet. The smoky taste adds distinct taste to the ice cream, whatever flavor you want it to be. Some are not thrilled with it but definitely I love it. Try the milk, cream, sweetened milk and vanilla recipe. Scotsman Ice Machine |
