I was reminded by a post on the Introduction section that English may not be the first language of the members of the forum.

So what other languages are spoken by members.

I speak and write American English, English English (those pesky words with extra u's in them like colour, and flavour) Wink, and some French, spoken languages include Spanish, Italian, German, and enough to shop in Portuguese, Norwegian, Danish, Greek and Japanese, oh and I can swear in Afrikaans! Embarassed

I do American and Southern English, can count from 1 to 29 in Japanese as well as a few words and phrases. I've also been dabbling in American Sign Language (ASL), though not much use here. Interesting question, though. Arigato SoEzzy san. Wink

Despite my best attempts to behave, I am still quite fluent in "french". . .

On a more serious note, I've always wanted to learn Mandarin Chinese. I also speak some "restaurant Spanish".

Fluent in Texican in all forms, and a working (heard) grasp of Cajun & Creole (working hard on mimicking the spoken part)

I love the local words like yoostacould - means "I was formerly able to" in "proper" English

really efficient - like y'all instead of "You guys' or "youse guys"

I have reading comprehension of proper English, some (slow) Spanish and some (slow) German - and even slower spoken and heard comprehension of those two languages.
