I'm very sorry to hear about his passing. I never met him but know from reading his posts that he was a great guy with a passion for BBQ. JamesB possessed a wealth of information and was always willing to share with others. He will truly be missed.

One of the most selfless individuals I've ever met. If you didn't know how to do something and he did, he was right there to teach you, and if you needed help he'd make it happen. We lost one of the good ones guys.

Condolences to his family. I lost my dad last year and I know that makes for a very sad Christmas.

I'm also saddened by this news.
I never met JamesB but I always liked his posts here and on another forum I've run across.
There's nothing more I can add to what's been expressed here so well by so many. _________________ Let's hope SoEzzy can ditch his heavy hand on photos in 2016!

Wow sad news for the bbq community and his family for sure. JamesB welcomed me into The Smoke Ring and helped me and others bring great food from the pit to the table. I enjoyed viewing his posts and pictures of his cooks and sharing his tale on this addiction we all have grown to love. Thanks JamesB for your time you shared with us. Prayers go out to the family.

I had the honor of getting James' opinion when developing my product line. He was a wealth of knowledge that blessed us all. I'm sure many will revert to his contributions for advise in the future.
James will be forever missed in this great BBQ community. _________________ Ryan Chester

Wow, what a tragic loss.
It's never easy to loose a loved one, but a young one at that is just so much harder to bear.
Our heartfelt thanks to James for all he contributed.
He sounded like a great guy (and always had a great view on common sense issue like his post just recently on unlined barrels).
Condolences to his family, friends, and the on-line community that knew and loved him, and for his ideas and sharing nature. _________________ BBQMAN
