Did my first fatties, one came out OK but the fat fattie was a clustermess (buildwise).
FATTIE
Rolled out JD sausage and rolled Diced JP into sausage
Cream cheese, anaheim pepper strips, Brat-like thing, Mike's Rub
Rolled, crossed bacon strips, more rub, into fridge
Came out pretty good, tossed a couple raw eggs in as experiment. They were good but not much smoke flavor.
FAT FATTIE
Rolled 1 JD Reg and 1 JD Italian sausage out, sprinkled both with bread crumbs, one layer meunster cheese (too mild), thawed hash browns, sauted onions and bell pepper.
Flipped sausage onto top of first and sealed. It's kinda thick. I SHOULDA STOPPED RIGHT HERE!
Colby Jack and eggs. This didn't roll up, just folded over!
Had to cook it in meatloaf pan so it wouldn't fall to pieces. Tasted ok but will keep KISS method in mind for the future.
Cheese still melty. The food just didn't do the pictures justice.

Well, the "regular" fattie is certainly photogenic - looks delicious, KAKid! Good job on that one!
The "El Guapo" fattie - well, it's not going to win any beauty contests - but it was surely a tasty disaster! I'd hit a slice!

Way to go! A very worthy first go.
You have a great breakfast in store if there was any left overs?
Enjoy..

KAKid, awesome job on the fatties You nailed the normal sized one it looks perfect. The larger one, well I have been there and done that But it looks awesome as all get out and I would be all over it. Nicely done my man
I leave most of the rolling to Debbie, when I get these huge ideas she is quick to remind me of my past follies. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Hey KAKid, not so bad I have found sometimes less is more , I've overstuffed a couple and I ended up happy just to get it on and off the grill without losing 1/2 the guts ... Still working on them too!
As long as they taste good, it's a successful cook. _________________ Weber 22" Kettle

Hey AltoonaFlyer. Used to live across the hwy (42) from the sand pit road (SE 253 Terr) back around 94/95, before I moved to Ocklawaha. Kinda miss partying with the Forest people. Small world, eh? _________________ I was taught to respect my elders. It's just getting harder to find them.
