The monthly men's breakfast at church is at my house this month. I love cooking for these guys...they enjoy eating!

--jeepdad

It's 45 degrees out and suppose to get colder as the day goes. Calling for our first snow of the year this afternoon only 1-2 inches.

The line up!

Boiled some eggs last night let them sit overnight in the fridge. Peeled them this morning getting them ready for the sausage and rub.

Seeded the jalapanos and cherry peppers.

The bowl of goodies awaiting the sausage and rub.

Roasted some red peppers earlier this morning for one of the fatties.

Rolling the first fatty. The trick I use is putt the sausage log on a piece of cling wrap. Place another piece on top and use my pizza dough roller to make a nice even surface for my fatty. The cling wrap on top keeps the roller from getting gummed up with the sausage.

This fatty has onions, cherry peppers, fresh spinach, feta cheese, and fresh grated parmesan, and Big Rons rub.

First fatty, the longer one with the feta and stuff. The next two are sausage rolls with Head Country rub.

First pan.

Second pan. All together there are Scotch eggs, Armadillo Eggs, and cherry pepper eggs (never seen cherry peppers used like this so giving it a try). Armadillo eggs are jalapanos stuffed with montrey jack and rolled in sausage and rub. The cherry eggs are stuffed with cream cheese and monterey jack and rub.

Third fatty is roasted red peppers and monterey jack cheese and Tony Chachere's rub.

Lower grate.

Upper grate.

Set up a couple tables for the guys.

Some hot sauces..man I can't wait to dig in! Will post finished pics. Also fixing biscuits and gravy and grits.

Goodluck Jeepdad. Wish I had that potential spread in front of me. Jealous on the snow. Loving this cold weather.

Great looking food your making jeepdad.

Have you considered making your own sausage? Your pretty handy in the kitchen so Im sure you could make some that youll like more than Jimmy's. All you need for bulk sausage is a meat grinder and a meat lug to mix the sausage with. Its easy and tasty.

Looks like a good breakfast jeepdad. We have the same thing at our church, I am the cook for our group. We lean more toward to the "traditional" breakfast. I tried a few different things since moving into the cook slot, but it just doesn't seemed to have taken yet. LOL!!! I will keep trying new stuff on them. LOL!!!!

I have a question jeepdad........................You said in the gravy picture...........MOM making gravy for the biscuits. Can you make gravy??? Why I ask..................they give me a hard time about the fact I cannot. I can make pretty much anything and they absolutely enjoy the food, but I have just not figured out the art of GRAVY yet!!!! The last breakfast we had we did with WMU and they made the gravy for me. LOL!! I can make gravy, but it would be better used as wall paper paste or something to that nature.

Ha! I can make gravy but not as good as Moms. She is the expert on cornbread, gravy, taters, tea, and just about anything else...so I capitilize on that expertise asking her to help out. I was doing twelve other things so her help was greatly appreciated.
