For something simple, not neccessarily served with BBQ, but you could I guess.
1 bag of Cole Slaw mix or Broccoli Cole Slaw Mix(I prefer)
1 medium red onion
Red wine vinegar
1 package Ramen Noodles(chicken flavor preferred)
sliced raw almonds
Black Pepper
Not much to put it together. Mix up slaw, red onion(chopped or diced), probably 1/2 cup of Vinegar, or to taste. A handful or two of sliced almonds.
Now, add the Ramen noodles, use them uncooked broken up out of the package, and use half the flavor packet.
Couple dashes of black pepper and you are good to go. Even after then next couple days the noodles absorb the vinegar and become yummy!
I've added green onion, peapods, jalapenos. The variations are endless!
A nice cool, crisp(at least the first day), version of cole slaw.
Serves about 4-6, double accordingly. _________________ Pro Q Frontier
