I've got a friend that is interested in helping me (okay, ME helping HIM) build a new trailer mounted smoker. I just came across this online on Craigslist. Is this a good price? What does everybody think?

| I cooked on a smoker a few weeks back that I had borrowed that looked exactly llike that but a little taller. It was not an old water tank, it was made of plate steel. The fire box was like and inboard out board, Half out of the pit half in. There were cooking grates at on level from front to back and 2 simple plate doors on the top towards one side, one tall stack grate level across from the fire box. It cooked well enough for 7th brisket, 6th ribs, and 3rd chicken at the comp I was doing. Held a nice 250* with a stick or two an hour. It would obviously be hotter near the firebox but I just kept a pan of water back there and cooked on the nose. Lots of room in there. |
