Hey Cypress Texas,

Mrs KAM can hold her own with the big boys with a smoker, would go easy and dont get her riled up, she might beat us all down.

KAM,

Sorry to hear you are under the weather, have not been commenting much as of late, but have been admiring your craftsmanship. If it is any consolation, I went and cut & loaded a trailer full of firewood Friday. NOW I AM COVERED WITH POISON IVY Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Thank You charleso, Very Happy Man I am sorry to hear that I hate that stuff, I hope you recover from that pretty fast. I know it is easy for me to say but do not scratch, it only makes it worse.

everytime I go through this thread I learn something new - its like a great movie that you watch 20 times and always pick up something you missed.

so basically if I was a son in law I would get a sweet BBQ Very Happy

Great build - and thanks once again for all your help and contributions to my build - they are invaluable!!!

Only jarheads were permitted continued use of nap b; the rest of us civvies had to learn to cook with wood.

Now wait one minute, I resemble that remark and I don't cook with napalm, too fast. Phosphorus is a slow burn (sometimes) all the way to the bone. Wink
Great looking build kam, it has been an amount of time since I saw this, so I thought I would have a look see.

Thank You SigSauerNY, Very Happy I am glad I can help. And yes if you were my son-in-law you would get a cool cooker, but I only have one daughter. Smile

Thank You Jarhead, Very Happy And I am both Proud and Glad we men like yourself to keep us free. Very Happy

Thank You slednecks6990, Very Happy The wood grate top is 17'' from the top of the fire box, it is made of 1.5'' x 1.5'' x 1/4'' angle iron for a frame. The expanded metal is 3.5'' raised x 1/4'' bars. The centers of the 3.5'' is divided by 1/2'' hot roll. The bottom of the rack sits 5.5'' off the bottom just above the intakes.

Cody I know what you mean about the rain it wreaks. Sad

I got a bit more done this weekend.
One fender on and I built the under storage for the what ever box. I also got the wood storage rack started.
Here is the under storage box pics.

Locking door open.

Both doors open.

And the start of the dry wood box.

The drivers side almost complete.
