Hey Cypress Texas,
Mrs KAM can hold her own with the big boys with a smoker, would go easy and dont get her riled up, she might beat us all down.
KAM,
Sorry to hear you are under the weather, have not been commenting much as of late, but have been admiring your craftsmanship. If it is any consolation, I went and cut & loaded a trailer full of firewood Friday. NOW I AM COVERED WITH POISON IVY _________________ Propane is for frying, not Que!

CypressTexas, charleso nailed it Mrs.K.A.M. can flat hold her own when it comes to smoking.
Thank You keeper of the plains, I hope to get some work done on it this week.
Thank You charleso, Man I am sorry to hear that I hate that stuff, I hope you recover from that pretty fast. I know it is easy for me to say but do not scratch, it only makes it worse. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Thank You BigPhil32, I am feeling better today. I went to work and actually felt like i could think straight so hopefully this weekend its back to the build. My only problem is I am hard headed and do not rest when I get down and I haven't learned that I am not in my 20's any more. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

everytime I go through this thread I learn something new - its like a great movie that you watch 20 times and always pick up something you missed.
so basically if I was a son in law I would get a sweet BBQ
Great build - and thanks once again for all your help and contributions to my build - they are invaluable!!! _________________ Proud Member of Team Ranstad

Only jarheads were permitted continued use of nap b; the rest of us civvies had to learn to cook with wood. |
Now wait one minute, I resemble that remark and I don't cook with napalm, too fast. Phosphorus is a slow burn (sometimes) all the way to the bone.
Great looking build kam, it has been an amount of time since I saw this, so I thought I would have a look see. _________________ Gunny 3073/4044/8411

| KAM, love it man. Quick question, on your firebox, whats the height from the top of the grate ( where your logs sit), to the top of the firebox? and are you using 1/4 stock. thanks |

Thank You SigSauerNY, I am glad I can help. And yes if you were my son-in-law you would get a cool cooker, but I only have one daughter.
Thank You Jarhead, And I am both Proud and Glad we men like yourself to keep us free.
Thank You slednecks6990, The wood grate top is 17'' from the top of the fire box, it is made of 1.5'' x 1.5'' x 1/4'' angle iron for a frame. The expanded metal is 3.5'' raised x 1/4'' bars. The centers of the 3.5'' is divided by 1/2'' hot roll. The bottom of the rack sits 5.5'' off the bottom just above the intakes. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Cody I know what you mean about the rain it wreaks.
I got a bit more done this weekend.
One fender on and I built the under storage for the what ever box. I also got the wood storage rack started.
Here is the under storage box pics.
Locking door open.
Both doors open.
And the start of the dry wood box.
The drivers side almost complete.
