Cody, I am still plugging away at it. I had some down time, other projects came up. I had a chance to work on it some this weekend. I got the exhaust stacks on the warmer, I also made the shut off dampers for those but I am waiting on handles.
I also got one of the doors for the fire box mounted.
I built the coal grate and got the other intake welded out.
I mounted the latch system for the warmer but I am waiting on handles for these as well.
Then it got dark on me.

I was able to get some more work done on the fire box and warmer box. I thought having four days off I
would have more time but we have been hopping. Hopefully a little more done tomorrow.
I got both fire box doors mounted and the stiffeners on them, also the bolt latch is mounted.
Fire box doors closed.
Fire box doors open.
I finished the racks and put handles on them.
I also added stops so the cannot flip.

| I sure am enjoying watching the progress on your build. Hey quick question... what gauge mesh are you using on your racks? |

| That looks awesome KAM. I am sure now that I have seen yours that mine is going to need a warmer. 2 questions....why the handles up on the warmer racks? And even with the top and bottom guides, isn't that bottom rack about to fall out? |

Thank you cody, I am working as fast as I can.
Thank You Wreckless, The handles are up on the warmer racks because if they were down the would interfere with food on the rack below them when you pull that rack out. I am not sure about question two, I pulled the lower rack out to full extension to show that they will not fall out because of the stops on top of the racks. I need more info on what you are seeing. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

I think he's just seeing that bit of sag due to the extreme extension of that lowest rack...
Btw, this build continues to impress, K.A.M.. I'm thinking you're working out the nee plus ultra of hybrid wood burning pits - and I'm hoping you're keeping good records of what you're doing so you can do it again
Cheers - and carry on! _________________ Save the planet: it's the only one with beer!

Thank you day_trippr, That is probably what he is seeing. Thank You for the kind words, I am keeping a pretty good log on this build. I am building in cooker areas that I have never crossed into before, and so I am trying to do as much learning and research as I can before I add something. It is a much slower build than I am accustomed to that is for sure
cody, break out the Carhartts and burn some rods Brother, you will be warm before you know it. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.
