Darn you killswitch, I was trying to think up something smart to say for the 600th post on this beast and you beat me to it. Anywho, congrats Kevin, now fire that monster up and cook something already.

Touchdown!! Finally get to see the brute in all its glory. And to think I met up with this post way back when it was nothing more than a frame and a single axle with beat up tenny shoes.

Nice job k.a.m! cant wait to see the smoke coming from the stacks.
what size burners did you get? Im trying to figure out what size I will need to boil water fast and to cook some fries and such. I was thinking of one 10" burner and maybe a 4" or 6".

Thank You joshsheff1, Very Happy Hopefully next weekend there will be some cooking going on. Very Happy

Thank You Jim_K, Very Happy I cant wait either. Very Happy
The burners are 10'' banjo burners. I mounted them in 16'' pipe and I am building the spider grates for
them but I ran out of flat bar.
The center of the grate is a section 1.5'' tall of a 2'' x 2x wall pipe nipple. The connecting bars are 3/8'' x 1.5'' flat bar.
Here is a pic of my welding table with the lay out.

Here is a pic of what I have so far just laying on top the burner.

Way to go Kevin! Kinda' brings a tear to your eye to see her roll away, like sending your kids to school. At least you know she went to a good home.

Thank You D., Very Happy You are so right, I do not know why but I miss this build already. You once told me if your bare slab bothers you start another. I am going to take a small fishing break and then start the lay out on my next one for Debbie and myself. Smile

Good! For me at least. I am ready to move up from k.a.m. 101 to the advanced course. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I am quite sure the term " Canopy" is an understatement.

Now that you're done, get your bass and crappie fix and get started on another build. I think we're all a little like Oliver, "Please sir, I'd like some more."

Great job. Can't wait to see her all painted up. Maybe get some pics of it at that comp. Wink That would be awesome.

Thank You missionsusmc, Very Happy We will do that for sure. Painted and cooking pics are coming up this weekend and hopefully on the day of their first comp.
Here is a couple of pics of the burners and fire pokers I finished tonight. They go to the painter tomorrow.
