I haven't gotten on this thread in a while. My old computer kept freezing with all the pics. So now that I got a new one, I decided to try this thread again. It's looking really good. I wish I had your metal working skills Keep up the good work, and send me a brisket once you get done!!!!
Your son in law is going to be doing some serious comp cooking it looks like. I wish him the best of luck, to him and you also.

Thank You Big Ron.
Thank You BluzQue, We talk quite a bit before moving forward on a part of the build. I want to make it as user friendly as possible.
Thank You killswitch505, I am coming down with a bug and it is wearing me out. Plus Grandchildren coming over this weekend so we will see how much gets done.
Thank You Trey, I will see what I can do on the brisket. The cooker will also be used for company events so we are trying to make it as versatile as I can. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Well that sounds good. Company barbecues and events. I wish my employer would get a clue.
SoEzzy, how 'bout making this a sticky? This is the 4th most-viewed thread in this category. Not that it matters right now, though. It's staying on the top page. The other 3 are stickys. _________________ "Never trust a skinny cook."

Thank You Trey. They do a lot of Family events as well as charity's and company sponsored cooks. The comps will be more of a not to serious thing probably for a while. I told them I was available as pit master for there team, I don't think they want me I am to strict. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Thank You CypressTexas, I love that smell as long as it is about 65° in the morning and warming. I got the storage box last night so we might have some more pics this weekend if I am not involved with the grandchildren _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

So where are the rims and tires pix KAM? Some solid racing Centerlines with some BFG All Terrains would put the beast over the edge. Too yesterday on the rims? Maybe. Pointless to have All Terrains on a trailer? Maybe. Did you set out to build something normal? LOL That gets my NO vote. Can only wait to see what you come up with. _________________ Backyarder

My bet is kam is waiting for his gear to thaw out. I know I am; we had snow here yesterday (yeah, I know we're lightweights). _________________ Salt, pepper, mesquite! |

Here is a pic of the whatever box and the 10'' banjos, these should warm up some water.

kam,
Don't let the crud drag on for two or three weeks until you finally visit the doc. Get yourself in, get some meds, get it over with.

CypressTexas, BluzQue, Thank ya'll for the well wishes. I am going to probably lay low this weekend and rest up instead of sniffing welding fumes. My fever has broke I hope for good so I am not going to push it. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.
