Yes, I am seeing about 5 lbs of metal rack being held by about 1 remaining inch of support and not much sag considering. I would have thought that it would need a secondary telescoping support. How tight are the guide clearances?

Wreckless, there is a 1/4'' x 1'' flat bar 6'' long on top of each grate welded to the cooker wall. The gap between the grate and bar stop is about a 1/16''. The further you run the stop back the less sag you will have while extending your grate. The grates measure 16.5'' deep so I am covering almost 1/2 of the grate. I also prefer to weld my expanded metal on the inside of the angle iron it allows for a smoother slide I have found.

cody, I look forward to seeing some pics of your trailer build, if I here of some one interested I will pass it on to them.

I had time today to cut the hole for the stack and get it tacked into place. I also got the cooking chamber
rack rails tacked into place.
The rails and stack.

A nice clean fit for the stack.

A pic of the rails.

A back view of the 6'' stack over the warmer.

Looking great KAM. He better throw you a party once you get that thing done. Cook you about 200 racks of ribs or 50 briskets or something. Can I place my order now? Lookin great...can't wait to see the finished product.

That RF plate sure as hell ain't going anywhere. The support in the middle was genious. The pix do beg another question. Is there going to be a cutout for a heat / smoke draw into the warmer or is its purpose to draw radiant heat from the firebox only?

Wreckless
It has an inlet from the Main smoke chamber were the smoke/heat can get into the warming/cold smoking cabinet. The Warmer does use radiant heat also.
Look at the pictures of the rails (His most recent pics).
Nice job on this build forsure.

Kevin, Me and the kids are putting the final touches on the
"Little Squealer" Will post today.

Thank You CarbedNotch. Very Happy

Thank You missionsusmc, Very Happy I plan on running a few tests burns before I hand him the keys. Very Happy

Thank You Wreckless, Whitey answered the question, thanks whitey Smile If you look on page 6 you will see the intake I built between the warmer and cooking chamber.

Thank You BluzQue, I am getting a little excited now to My Kentucky Brother.

Thank You Jarhead, I start working on the doors this weekend, I am far enough along that most all my welding distortions are done, so I can tweak the body and add the doors. after that it wont be long for a fire.

That is cool Whitey, I am looking forward to seeing the "Little Squealer" in action Very Happy

Thank You C.B., Very Happy This is my biggest build and I have to say there is a lot to do on one of these when you are working by yourself. Smile

Whitey, after I am satisfied with the way she runs. She will go to the blaster to get cleaned up and painted. The cooker will be black while the trailer is supposed to be red, unless things change.
