Well we have had second frost in a row today, so that pretty much finished all of my garden off,but two weeks ago I did bring one of my prized Bhut Jolokia plants inside the house and placed it in front of the sliding glass doors, lots of sun when its not raining here. Very Happy It sure does love there. Its only 48 degrees here.

I tell you i have yet to even come close to finishing off one of these bad boys. Very Happy I did mix some in with my pickled Habs and cayennes, will try those in a couple weeks time. Very Happy

Can you start them inside early under a grow light? I have done this for other veggies and it allows me to get almost three harvest in from the garden per year on some things.

It's a little bit of extra work but it could be worth it. Very Happy

As far along as they are, and judging by how many achieved ripeness.... I would guess he started them indoors in February.

I had 7 plants,4 in 5 gallon pails and 3 in the ground, the ones in the pail produced 5 times quicker and yielded 5 times as many peppers.Plus you can move them to ideal sunny locations around the yard, the roots stay warm in the pails promoting great growth.

Congrats CB on your Jolokia plant! Its looking pretty happy. I remember reading that they are very hard to grow and produce peppers. Any tricks?

I'm kind of curious to see how hot those things are Smile

We weren't far behind you this year. The weather just was not that good and it never did seem to get hot or sunny more than a few days at a time. I have tomatoes and peppers still on the vine that are small and shouldn't be.

It got really close to freezing here last night too. Shocked

So much for global warming! Very Happy Laughing Very Happy
