Good find...that's a keeper. I can never find anything at second hand or junk stores. Maybe I need to get out more.

Good find BeertoOth. What you have there is Wagner smooth bottom, made around the 1940's. You can get sizes from a 3 up thru 12. it's a great size for eggs and some cathead biscuits. Clean it up good because you do not know what was in it before and season it up.

Beertooth,Man You are a cast Iron Monger..Buying it up on My side and Your side. By the time You are done getting these deals You are going to have a pile of cast.

Nice score Brother Man,You Dog..That skillet is real sweet.Ought to work real well with the new piece you snatched up right under My nose..

Drive safe on Your way over the hill.Talk to you later..

Great deal.

So is it okay to use soap on it this one time Embarassed , scrub it really good, then start re-seasoning?

You can but it looks pretty dang clean..I would just wash it with real hot water,Dry it out in the oven at 350,When dry grease and place back in that oven for around 1 hour,Wipe excess off and let cool.

Nice score.

P.S a little soap this time?Maybe if real nastey.

Steve Thanks - this was the first time I looked for cast here. I talked to the owner and he said he looks for it at auctions so I'll be checking back!

Mike Thanks - It will definitely be cooking lots of breakfast! I scrubbed it with hot water and some mild steel wool. Then in to the oven to dry.

Whitey - When I do something, I don't just do it half a$$. I like to jump in head first! Smile

Today Washington, tomorrow the world!!! Ahhhhh hahahahahahahahahaha!

Brinnie - Thanks mate! Can't beat the price!
