Nice video.
Is that rotisserie homemade? I've never seen trays like that, what a cool idea.
Very nice looking food, too. _________________ Don't ask me, I'm just improvising.

Very cool.... so how do you do that in a UDS? I saw a brief shot of one, but where the the extension "collar" come from? Is that retrofitted from a WSM, or is it a piece of another 55 gallon drum?
Ultimately, this would be pretty pricey for me - I would need that extension, the rotisserie, and the rib-o-lator.... Have to wonder if it is clearly superior to just placing 2 slabs on 2 levels of grates in a UDS.
EDIT: Nevermind - found they sell a rotisserie kit that includes a 6" extension ring for around $150. Pretty pricey - is it worth getting one for a UDS, or does the design of the UDS not really need a rotisserie? |

Great tune! Can you say BIG hair?!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un63LEAN22E&feature=related
That thing is cool. Something that bother me though is the amount of time that smoker was open to load it, and also tend to the ribs, such as checking each slab for doneness, or perhaps brushing with bbq sauce.... he had to stop the rotisserie each time, which meant the cooker was open quite a while. That would send my UDS into a spike that I would have a difficult time recovering from, if at all.
Other than that, it is definitely the coolest thing I have seen for a grill or smoker!!! |
