40 lbs raw product will give You roughly 20 lbs of finish product 1/2 lb per person you have enough to feed 40 people..

Now keep in mind a 1/2 lb of pork is alot of meat so if You wanted to figure a 1/3 lb then it would be 60 people..

Its always better to have more than not enough

I would cook about (4) 8 pound butts. That should be plenty especially if you are having other sides.

Texas Pit beans, and try this cole slaw it rocks..real good
1 head green cabbage finely chopped
1/4 head red cabbage finely chopped
1 carrot shredded
-----------------------------------------------------------------

2 cups apple cider vineger
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 tblspn veg oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
3/4 tspn celery seed
1/2 tspn kosher salt
1/2 tspn pepper
1/4 chopped garlic

Only add a little dressing at a time.Do not float the coleslaw in dressing.Only add the dressing to the slaw for the amount You plan on eating..The slaw will keep for a week as long as the dressing hasn’t been added.Once the dressing has been added after Dinner throw it out.

Corn bread muffins..with a bunch of ABTs You have a Dinner folks will be talking about for days to come..
