With no help for ideas for supper while Lucky was playing the course with the fellers, I pulled this one out of my ars. That's what he gets when he leaves me alone with a smoker already going for deer jerky. Turned out pretty good though I must say Very Happy

Of course, the taters after being on the smoker for a bit, covered in chilli powder, olive oil, black pepper and garlic salt

With the kielbasa

With the black beans, chili beans, turkey bacon, and seasonings

Finally the two greatest things come together.....cheese is topped on the chilli taters

It's nothing like a brisket or anything, but it's a start. I figured I should post something so people don't think I'm in an alcohol induced coma.

I saw this post on Saturday. I just happened to have my smoker going and had the same stuff lying around the kitchen. Mine didn't look as good as the pictures above, but it was a satisfying gut bomb no less.

My boy asked me what I was making and I told him "this is called throwing stuff you have together".

What's wrong with being in an alcohol induced coma?

Thanks for all the posts!! I completely agree with both of the additions of jalepenos and some sort of smoked meat. Sometimes when you have to pull random items out of your fridge/cupboard/garden, that's when the best creations are made!

We're doing a cook-off this weekend, so hopefully we'll be able to post some pics from that. Other than that, keep the posts coming boys!! They are making Lucky realize what he's got Wink
