Morick: The fresh veggies made a big difference. The chicken / meat combo seems to be traditional in Burgoo.

Thanks Whitey and Jeepdad, it was delicious.

Beertooth, just google Burgoo and you will find a lot of recipes, they all follow a similar recipe. As simple as this dish was, and with as few spices it was some of the best stew I have had in along time. It's definitely on the repeat list.

Burgoo Recipe:

1. Take a bunch of meat and veggies that you have layin around the house.
2. Put them in a cast iron pot with some broth, salt, and pepper
3. simmer for 4 hours
4. Enjoy

Haaaa whitey "Super smoked soggey lima bean spread". Love it, bro....you know you want some! I will hug her and pass on the well wishes.

She asked for pulled pork but not enough time to smoke a butt and work. So, will be fixing it Sunday for her. Tonight is grilled marinated flank steak, twice baked taters, and corn. Plus, me and the girls are making a chocolate cake for Mommy. Should be a good and fun evening.
